Brookside Gardens has transformed into a magical winter wonderland for Garden of Lights. Walk through the outdoor twinkling lights and glimmering displays that dot the paths and flowerbeds throughout 50 acres in Wheaton. More than one million dazzling and colorful LED lights are handcrafted into original works depicting animals, flowers, and other natural elements.

Montgomery Parks' and Brookside Gardens' winter-season tradition runs from Friday, November 22, 2024, to Sunday, January 5, 2025. It is open daily, 5pm - 9:30pm. It will be closed Nov. 25-28, Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1.

The primary entrance for Garden of Lights is located at Brookside Gardens' main entrance: 1800 Glenallan Ave., Wheaton, MD 20902. Please note, this year access from Wheaton Regional Park directly into Brookside Gardens is NOT permitted. Access for pedestrians and cyclists is available at Brookside Gardens' main entrance at 1800 Glenallan Ave.

Don't forget- the Brookside Gardens' Gift Shop will be open during Garden of Lights and is the perfect place to find inspired gift items, or pick up that scarf you forgot to bring!

Tickets much be purchased online in advance. Walk-up tickets are NOT available. Tickets are $10 per person for those age 5 and older. Visitors under age 5 are FREE. Everyone over the age of 5 is required to have a ticket.

You will receive a digital ticket in your email inbox once your purchase is complete. Remember to check your spam folder if your ticket hasn't arrived within 30 minutes of your purchase. Your tickets are for specific arrival times: 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm or 8:30pm. You must arrive at your specific scheduled time to redeem your tickets. No entry after 9pm, show closes at 9:30pm.

For entry, please have your QR code readily available for the Garden of Lights team at the entrance. If you are using your phone to redeem your tickets, please have the tickets on your screen and maximize the screen's brightness setting.

Event Schedule / Activities

Garden of Lights is an outdoor, rain or shine event. All sales are final. Tickets can be exchanged to alternative days/times when tickets are available.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Garden of Lights is open during rain, snow and clear weather. Please dress appropriately for the weather the day of your visit.

If Brookside Gardens cancels the event for any reason, ticket holders will be notified via email the same day as the cancellation and refunds for the price of the ticket ($10) will be automatically posted to the customer's original form of payment within 1 week. Service fees are non-refundable.

Tickets can be exchanged to other available timeslots or dates. Tickets must be available at the desired time/date before you can start an exchange.
